Operational Resilience – A Journey, not just a single project
Operational resilience refers to the ability of a firm to prevent, respond to, recover and learn from operational disruptions. Instinctively today, a typical response is to overly focus on technology scenarios and cyber risks but operational resilience is much broader and requires far wider consideration across all business activities about how the continuity of the services that the firm provides might be maintained regardless of the cause of the disruption. At the core are the overall capabilities of people, processes, technology and organisational culture to adapt and recover when things go wrong.
