Cyber Threat and Infosec Awareness Training for UK-based Anglo Arab Sharia Bank

The client

The UK operation of an Anglo Arab Sharia bank.

The work

Provide cyber threat and information security awareness training to the Executive and the bank’s main board.

How we helped

As part of our engagement as the bank’s virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) we were requested to devise and deliver training to be delivered at the Executive team meeting and the full sitting of the main board. The objective was to illustrate the cyber threat landscape as it applied to the bank and its customers, key good practices and the importance of formulating and delivering a cyber security strategy. This helped both groups understand their role in driving the cyber security agenda at the bank.

Value added

Our deep knowledge of the information and cyber security landscape meant we were able to offer true insight to senior leadership at the bank. This enabled them to define their cyber risk appetite based on a full appreciation of the threats they faced. It also meant they were able to set a clearer ‘tone from the top’ on cyber risks, enabling the vCISO and the Information Security Manager to secure buying from staff and management to the cyber security improvement roadmap which needed to be delivered.
